The newly established XRP Ledger Foundation has raised $6.5 million from Ripple, Coil, and GateHub. This non-profit and open-organization was been set up with a goal to accelerate the development of the XRP ledger, the blockchain upon which the XRP token runs. All the three platforms that have put up the funds were built upon the XRP Ledger. According to reports, the foundation aims to improve and develop the XRPL infrastructure and promote scalable and sustainable practice on the platform.

Major cryptocurrency exchange Huobi Global is expanding in Russia by rolling out its native mobile app in the country. Users in Russia can now access Huobi’s spot market and trade major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) through its mobile app, the firm announced on Sept. 23. By introducing the app in Russia, Huobi wants to further expand in one of its most important markets. Russian users account for as much as 10% of Huobi’s total spot trading volume, an exchange representative told Cointelegraph.
Visa, Goldman Sachs and Mick Mulvaney join leading blockchain trade association
On Wednesday, the Chamber of Digital Commerce announced the addition of Visa, Goldman Sachs and Six Digital Exchange (SDX) to its executive committee. Mick Mulvaney, a former White House Chief of Staff and a co-founder of the Congressional Blockchain Caucus will also be joining the chamber’s board of advisors. Mulvaney left the White House in March. Nvidia doesn't want to give up its 2017 'crypto craze' docs
The legal representatives of technology company Nvidia have argued that its investors are not entitled to access its internal records about the “crypto craze” of 2017 and 2018. During a trial in the United States' Delaware Court of Chancery on Sept. 17, Nvidia's counsel argued that the plaintiffs have failed to show a “credible basis” for why Nvidia should be compelled to hand over the requested company documents.
Police summon Bithumb chairman for questioning over alleged fraud
The drama over alleged fraud involving Bithumb’s senior executives continues as the company’s chairman has reportedly been summoned for interrogation. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is purportedly seeking to question Lee Jung-hoon, chairman of board at Bithumb Korea and Bithumb Holdings, according to a Sept. 18 report by South Korea’s state-run news agency Yonhap.
